Wash Your Face With Cool or Lukewarm Water

During summer, heat, sweat, dust, and excess oil can make your face feel hot, sticky, and uncomfortable. Washing your face with cool or lukewarm water can help you feel refreshed and remove sweat and surface impurities from the skin.

Start by washing your hands before touching your face. Splash your face gently with cool or lukewarm water, then use a mild, gentle cleanser if your skin needs cleansing. Massage it lightly with your fingertips for about 20–30 seconds, without scrubbing harshly. Rinse thoroughly and gently pat your face dry with a clean, soft towel.

Avoid using very hot water, as it can strip the skin's natural oils and leave it dry or irritated. You also don't need to use extremely cold or icy water; normal cool water is generally sufficient to provide a refreshing feeling.

If you have been outside or sweating heavily, washing your face when you return home can help remove sweat and dirt. However, avoid washing excessively throughout the day because frequent cleansing can irritate the skin.

After washing, apply a lightweight, non- comedogenic moisturizer suitable for your skin type. During the daytime, finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher when going outdoors.

Regular, gentle cleansing can help your face feel cleaner and more comfortable during hot weather while supporting the skin barrier.
