Face itching during very hot summer can happen because of sweat, heat rash, skin irritation, dryness, allergy, or sun exposure. If your face starts itching in summer, you can try these steps:
- Wash your face gently with cool (not very cold) water 2–3 times a day. Use a mild cleanser and avoid harsh soaps.
- Keep your skin cool. Stay in a shaded or cooler place when possible and avoid direct sun for long periods.
- Apply a light, fragrance-free moisturizer. Sometimes skin becomes dry and irritated even in hot weather.
- Avoid scratching your face. Scratching can make irritation worse and may cause redness or small marks.
- Drink enough water during hot days because dehydration can make skin problems feel worse.
- Avoid very oily creams, heavy makeup, or new skin products that may be irritating your skin.
- Use a clean towel and wash pillow covers regularly because sweat and oil can build up.
If you also notice red bumps, a burning sensation, swelling, pus, peeling skin, or the itching becomes severe or lasts more than a few days, it could be an allergic reaction, heat rash, or another skin condition that may need medical attention.
