1. PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (₹24,000 crore)

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this scheme integrates 36 programs across 11 departments to enhance farm productivity and support farmers' welfare, focusing on 100 aspirational districts. It aims to provide cohesive planning and implementation, especially in areas with historically low productivity.

2. Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses (₹11,440 crore)

This mission focuses on achieving self-reliance in pulse production, aiming to reduce dependency on imports and enhance domestic production. It includes support for seed development, crop diversification, and market linkages.

3. AgriSURE – Agri Fund for Startups & Rural Enterprises

A new initiative to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in agriculture, providing funding and support for startups and rural enterprises engaged in agri-tech, food processing, and related sectors.

4. Krishi-DSS Portal

A geospatial platform offering real-time data on weather, soil health, crop conditions, and market prices, enabling farmers to make informed decisions.

5. Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) for Sustainable Agriculture

Introduced to incentivize farmers adopting sustainable practices by allowing them to earn carbon credits, promoting climate-resilient agriculture.

  • PM-KISAN: Provides ₹6,000 annually to small and marginal farmers.

  • Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY): Offers comprehensive crop insurance coverage against natural calamities.

  • Kisan Credit Card (KCC): Facilitates easy access to short-term credit for farmers.

  • Soil Health Card Scheme: Provides farmers with information on soil health and recommended dosages of nutrients.

  • Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF): Supports the development of post-harvest infrastructure.

 State-Level Initiatives

  • Uttar Pradesh: Developing a Digital Agriculture Policy to provide farmers with real-time data on crops, weather, seeds, irrigation, fertilizers, insurance, markets, logistics, and services.

  • Madhya Pradesh: Approved procurement of 30,000 quintals of Kodo and Kutki millets under the Rani Durgavati Shri Anna Protsahan Yojana, supporting tribal farmers with incentives and interest-free loans.

  • Andhra Pradesh: Emphasizing technology-driven administration, promoting drone use for applying nano-fertilizers and pesticides, and strengthening Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) for better market access.
